1、 Indoor protective cover
The indoor protective cover must be able to protect the camera and lens from the pollution of dust, impurities and corrosive gases. At the same time, it must be able to cooperate with the installation site to prevent damage. Indoor enclosure is generally made of painted or anodized aluminum, painted steel, brass or plastic. If plastic is used, fire-resistant or flame retardant type shall be used. The protective cover must have sufficient strength, the installation interface must be firm, and the window should be clear and transparent safety glass or plastic (polycarbonate). The design position of electrical connection interface shall be convenient for installation and maintenance.
The working temperature of the camera is - 5 ℃~45 ℃, and the most appropriate temperature is 0 ℃~30 ℃, otherwise the image quality will be affected, or even the camera will be damaged.
2、 Outdoor protective cover
First of all, the outdoor protective cover should be highly sealed to prevent rainwater from entering. At the same time, the inlet shall be opened below the protective cover to avoid rainwater flowing into the protective cover along the cable. A wiper shall also be installed in front of the protective cover to timely clean the accumulated rainwater and dirt, so that the camera can take a clear image through the glass. The defroster in front of the hood or on the glass can melt the frost and snow in the window.
Secondly, a heater should be installed in the protective cover to heat in a low temperature environment, improve the internal temperature of the protective cover, and ensure the normal operation of the camera/lens; The internal or external fan can make the air in the cover circulate and reduce the temperature in the protective cover; In places with more sand and less rain, it is also necessary to consider configuring a washer to clean the window glass with the wiper at any time to ensure the image monitoring effect.
The auxiliary equipment control function of the outdoor protective cover includes automatic control and manual control. For example, the heater/defroster and fan are automatically started or closed by the temperature sensor inside the protective cover, while actions such as wiper and washer are realized by the controller through the operation of the control equipment.
The outdoor enclosure is generally made of aluminum, coated steel, stainless steel or plastic that can be used in outdoor environment. The manufacturing materials must be able to withstand ultraviolet radiation, or they will soon appear cracks, fading, strength reduction and other aging phenomena. Stainless steel shield shall be used in the environment where it is required to be durable, with high safety, and resistant to human destruction; The properly treated aluminum shield is also a shield with excellent performance. There are three treatment methods: polyurethane baking paint, anodic oxidation, and anodic oxidation plus painting. Aluminum or steel mutual aid should not be selected in the environment with corrosive gas; Shields made of stainless steel or special plastic shall be used in salt spray environment. In addition, in order to increase the safety performance of the protective cover and prevent man-made damage, many protective covers are also equipped with tamper proof switches. Once the protective cover is opened, an alarm signal will be sent out. There are many kinds of protective covers in the monitoring system, which can be generally divided into rectangular cover, wall or ceiling cover, spherical cover, corner cover, slope cover, etc. according to their shapes.
