One surveillance camera can connect several video recorders without delay
Usually, how many VCRs can a camera connect without delay? It is recommended that no more than three NVRs of the same camera can be connected to the six zones at the same time, otherwise the images will be delayed, stuck and skipped. Today, I will briefly introduce why the same NVR is taken video camera No more than 3 NVRs are optimal.
If more than three video recorders add the IP address of one camera at the same time, there will be insufficient video supply, video recorder stream fetching failure, and scramble for code stream. The final phenomenon is that the monitoring image keeps flashing, jamming, and delaying, and the recording progress bar is intermittent.
Normally, Switch If the data traffic bandwidth of the upstream interface exceeds 70M, a gigabit port switch is required. If a camera is added by multiple recorders at the same time, the bitstream provided by each camera will be doubled.
For example, for a 200W pixel camera, the default bitstream size is 4M+0.5M. If two NVRs are added at the same time, the provided traffic size is 9M; If it is added by three NVRs at the same time, the traffic provided is 13.5M. Therefore, the choice of switches is different, and the bandwidth provided by ports must be considered.
If there is no reasonable calculation flow, the whole transmission network may be congested, and packet loss may be serious, resulting in video jam, drag shadow, etc.
When multiple NVRs add the same camera, many people will say that adding the same IP directly is enough. In fact, this method is not advisable, or it will cause insufficient NVR stream fetching. Generally, agreeing to add cameras to multiple NVRs is to input the RTSP stream address of the camera in the video recorder to access the main stream and sub stream of the camera. Each brand of camera has a different stream taking path, so the manufacturer needs to be consulted. Basic functions such as real-time preview, video recording and playback can be performed after adding, but there is no control function (PTZ control, code rate modification, OSD setting, etc.)
Therefore, when multiple NVRs manage the same camera at the same time, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the capabilities supported by the video recorder, the broadband of the switch, and the stream taking path to avoid affecting the smoothness of the monitoring image.
