1. Brand specificity of wiring products

The network products used for wiring, such as ordinary Category 5 twisted pair or crystal head, transmit weak signals, and a slight carelessness may affect the overall performance of network communication. Although the wiring products produced by different manufacturers have some differences in performance and quality, such as the quality of network cables produced by some manufacturers is good, the use effect of crystal heads produced by some manufacturers is good, and the network interface modules produced by some manufacturers are also good, the writer still recommends using the same brand of wiring products in the same wiring system, This ensures limited compatibility.

Many cabling operators often simply believe that if those good network products are combined for cabling, the attenuation of network signals will be reduced to a small extent to achieve communication effects. In fact, this understanding is incorrect, because the impedance of internal materials of network products from different manufacturers is different, and the subtle differences in impedance may have a great impact on the signal attenuation of high-speed networks, thus affecting the communication quality of the entire network system. Practice has proved that the mixing of cabling from different manufacturers has little impact on network switching at speeds below 10Mbps, but it will have a significant impact on 100Mbps or higher speed network systems. Therefore, the network products produced by the same manufacturer are used for wiring.

2. Reasonable design before wiring and strict test after wiring

This is a question of work habits. The importance of good working habits can be better reflected in network wiring. The reasonable planning before wiring can greatly improve the efficiency of the network, otherwise it will seriously affect the efficiency of the network.

At the design stage, the needs of information system users are not fully considered, and sometimes the situation is very bad. For example, the cable trunk connecting the telephone and computer to the building can be guaranteed, but the connection of other building systems or equipment, such as fax machine, clock, security and fire alarm system, elevator, property department system, etc., is often ignored. To avoid this, a detailed checklist of information systems and equipment can be prepared and provided to each department head before the system design, so that they can participate in the supplement. In this way, the above situation can be avoided.

But in fact, it is difficult to ensure that this situation will not happen again, because with the growth of user business and the change of business nature, the use needs of employees will also change. The office location of employees will be adjusted within or between departments, and departments will also change their layout. The cable facilities designed should be able to cope with these conditions. A good way is to plan general cable facilities suitable for equipment. The unused space shall also be laid with cables for future use. The cable facilities in each workshop shall meet the needs of any user.

3. Correctly understand the definition of 100m channel limit in the regulations

As we all know, the length of a single section of network cable for Class 5 and Class 6 lines cannot exceed 100m, which is stipulated in ANSI/EIA/TIA-568 standard. But here we should correctly understand the meaning of 100m. According to the standard, the 100m should be the limit of the entire transmission channel in the horizontal section, that is, the management subsystem+the horizontal subsystem+the work area subsystem. In addition to the 10m required for the cross connection of the management subsystem and the connection cable of the work area, the actual length of the embedded horizontal subsystem is usually only 90m, that is, the length of the basic transmission link.

It can also be simply understood as an active connecting device from the RJ-45 port of the network adapter in the work area to the( Switch The whole transmission channel of) is 100 m (including jumper).

4. Correctly select communication cable wires of all parts

In the actual generic cabling project, users often pay attention only to the computer network, or the immediate application, but lack sufficient attention to some important but not very obvious needs or future applications. If the pre built wiring cable structure in the building does not match the actual cable facilities, it will cause great delay in construction period and cost increase. Architects and electrical engineering companies are usually not familiar with the specifications and requirements of various wire materials. If the design does not meet the specifications, the existing conduit may not accommodate the cable to be installed, and the conduit will be added, or the bending part of the conduit is too many and there is no connection box, causing difficulty in cable threading, or the cable reel and connection box are used, However, the length of horizontal cable exceeds the requirements of Class V cable.
